This guide explains the various components of FLVC's current resource sharing processes also known as UBorrow.

UBorrow Media Policy

In January of 2020, the RSSC approved a policy for Media items in UBorrow.  Below is the UBorrow Media policy:

Policies:

  • Participation for lending media is optional.
  • Patrons at all 40 institutions are eligible to borrow media.    
  • Media items may include:  DVD’s, CD’s, VHS, musical scores, Audio Books (discs), LP’s, etc. During the opt-in process, the lending institution determines which media items they wish to loan.  
  • The Loan Period for media items is 21 days
  • Follow UBorrow Lost Book/Damaged policies.
  • Media items should be shipped in bubble wrap or padded envelope.

  • College of Central Florida
  • Eastern Florida State College
  • Florida Gulf Coast University
  • Florida State College Jacksonville
  • Florida State University
  • Gulf Coast State College
  • Indian River State College
  • North Florida College
  • Pasco-Hernando State College
  • Santa Fe College
  • Seminole State College
  • St. Johns River State College
  • St. Petersburg College
  • University of Central Florida
  • University of West Florida

If your institution would like to participate in lending media via UBorrow please have your ILS Coordinator submit the UBorrow Media Opt-In Form to the help desk at help@flvc.org. 

Please note: patrons at all institutions are eligible to request media items, regardless of whether or not their home institution participates in lending media.
