Collections are groups of related content that can be viewed or managed as a unit. These can be nested under parent nodes to create collections within collections. The "children" of a node, i.e. the items in the collection can still be edited individually as well as managed collectively. Not all actions performed on a Collection node will trickle down to the children of that collection. For further information and steps in managing collections, visit the Collection Management page. For more in-depth exploration of Islandora Collections, visit the Collections page of the Islandora Git Documentation.
