"The FLorida Academic REpository (FLARE) is the statewide shared collection of low use print materials from academic libraries in Florida. This centrally housed collection provides new options for sharing the costs and effort of long term retention of low use library materials... (more )
The FLARE overlap reports tool is a web application designed to leverage FLARE for offsite storage of low use circulating materials. Libraries can use this page to determine the number of titles and volumes in their collections that could be removed, based on titles already stored in FLARE. Essentially, if a title is already in FLARE, libraries have the option to deaccession one or more copies of that title from their own collections, knowing they still have access to a copy in FLARE
Currently, the tool is in its testing phase. We would appreciate your assistance in evaluating the reports. Please contact the FLVC Help Desk to request access.
