Overview
What does record suppression do?
Suppressing a bib record from discovery will prevent a bib record and its associated holdings/items from displaying to the end user in PrimoVE. The bib record will only be viewable in Alma.

How to Tell if a Record is Suppressed
On the record overview list:
The suppress icon will appears next to the title when a bib record is suppressed from discovery:
In the MD Editor:
IZ records
IZ records display the suppressed icon in the Bib Record Header and under the title in the Records list on the left.
NZ records
NZ linked records will not display the suppressed icon in the Bib Record Header or under the title in the Records list when "Suppress from Discovery" is selected.
The suppressed icon will display in a repository search.
To suppress a bib record in the MD Editor:
Steps to Suppress / Un-suppress Bib Records in Batch
You can run a bib or a list of bibs (a batch) through the "Suppress Bib Records from Discovery" job
Search for the bibliographic records you want to suppress/un-suppress and click Save and Filter Query to save the results as a logical set..
Go to Admin > Manage set. Select the logical set you just created, then select … > Itemize to create an itemized set.
Complete the form and click Submit.
Click Confirm to complete.
Go to Admin > Run a Job. Select Suppress Bib records from discovery. Use the same job to Un-Suppress as well.
Click Next
Select the itemized set you created, click Next.
Select True to complete suppressing OR Select False to complete Un-suppressing.
