Now that we've implemented Alma and Primo VE for all 40 institutions, library staff still have questions about certain aspects of our new system. After surveying the Working Groups and reviewing the kinds of questions that have been submitted to the FLVC Help Desk, FLVC will host five additional Ex Libris online workshops for Fall 2021. These sessions will focus on certain parts of the system that staff have questions with rather than a broad overview of all aspects of Alma/Primo VE. The areas covered in the new workshops are: Managing E-Resources, Primo VE, Managing Physical Resources, Cataloging, and Alma Analytics.
All sessions will be led by an Ex Libris Trainer with various FLVC staff members available to assist. The trainer will demonstrate and explain how to perform certain functionality, and there will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions during each session.
The structure of the fall workshops will be different than the spring. Instead repeating the same workshop over five times, we've decided to dedicate a week to each particular area and just repeat the workshop once. This way, staff can choose to attend early or late in the week. Of course, a recording for each workshop will be made available on our Libguide once it is available. To register, please see the listing below along with a link to the registration form for each session. You can also click on the tabs at the top of the page for a description of what will be covered in each workshop. If you have questions, please feel free to contact the FLVC Help Desk at help@flvc.org.
